As children, we all harboured fantastical dreams. I had always wanted to explore the peaks and depths of this planet. While reality did take over, those dreams never faded, and I’ve had the opportunity to scale a few mountains.

The new Garmin MARQ collection is made for men like us, who aspire to be better today than we were yesterday. Comprising five luxury tool watches – Athlete, Expedition, Captain, Aviator and Driver – the MARQ collection is a culmination of Garmin’s decades of study in GPS technology and wireless sensors.
Each of the five watches are designed to give you all the information you need on demand, depending on the type of adventure you’re more inclined towards.
Quick Looks
Driver
Preloaded with more than 250 global race tracks, including the iconic Nüburgring or The Green Hell, the watch has a track timer, auto lap splits, and live delta time. The DLC-coated case makes it virtually resistant to scratches and Garmin has engineered it to be able to withstand the shocks and vibrations from racing.
Aviator
The watch comes with aviation maps, advanced safety features such as the NEXRAD Weather Radar, airport information and even the ability for pilots to integrate the MARQ Aviator with the cockpit. For those who’s constantly in the air, the 24-hour GMT bezel also gives you quick access to two other time zones including the current time.

Athlete
Garmin already has a strong heritage in running smartwatches, but the MARQ Athlete takes it to the next level. Besides being able to measure your blood oxygen saturation levels, the watch allows you to study your own run dynamics so that you can fine-tune your form, and also lets you track your progress.
Captain
The MARQ Captain is for those who prefer sailing on the open seas. There are coastal charts, a regatta timer, tack assist, and even a shortlist of port conditions. The watch can also display the current wind speed, temperature and tide conditions of your current port of call, so that you can decide if it’s safe to venture to the waters
Expedition
If you like the great outdoors, the MARQ Expedition is built for you. Besides topographical maps, there is a built-in altimeter, compass and barometer. Should you ever get into any trouble during your explorations, the watch can also communicate with the inReach Mini satellite for you to send and receive messages.
Design
The watches are all sized at a contemporary 46mm, with a screen large enough to give you the data you need at a quick glance. The five watches are equipped with the usual digital suspects, including email and text alerts, music storage and streaming services, and even the NFC-enabled Garmin Pay.
Garmin has also used hardy materials such as titanium, sapphire and ceramic in the construction of the MARQ watches, so that they can withstand the harshest situations, leaving you to focus on beating yesterday.
