Since 2014, the Macan been Porsche’s answer to the luxury crossover SUV.

More compact and responsive than a traditional SUV, yet more spacious and rugged than a sedan or coupe, it straddles the two to offer the best features of each. The latest version of the Macan retains its predecessor’s familiar form factor while sporting various updates such as the new 10.9-inch Porsche Communication Management touchscreen infotainment system.

Expect the same exhilarating drive the Macan has long been known for, thanks to the two-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine with 252 horsepower and the 7-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) automatic transmission, which translate into a top speed of 227kph. With the optional sports chrono package, the new Macan will take you from zero to 100 kph in 6.5 seconds. The car’s revised exterior design reflects its sportiness even more closely now, with tweaks including new LED head- and tail-lights that aren’t just aggressive, but also more visible on the road. The new three-dimensional tail light strip now also emphasises the integrated “Porsche” lettering.

The icing on the cake here is the ample boot space (over 1,500 litres’ worth) that makes the new Macan an all-rounder for the urban adventurer. Meet two of them – Chris Huang and Jonathan Shen, the co-founders of The Golden Duck – and follow them in this video as they take a foodie’s detour on the way to the office.
