Dior Men’s Fall/Winter 2021-22 Collection will showcase the collaboration between Kim Jones and Peter Doig. The big reveal will happen on 22 January on Dior.com.

The partnership is the latest from Jones who has partnered with globally renowned artists and creatives for his collections. Since his appointment as artistic director of Dior Men, the British designer has collaborated with the likes of KAWS, Hajime Sorayama, Kenny Scharf and Shawn Stussy.

For Dior Men’s Fall/Winter 2021 collection, Jones tapped the talents of renowned Scottish figurative painter Peter Doig. The collaboration marks the latest creative dialogue Dior has had with personalities from the world of contemporary art.

A British Artist of Scottish origin, Doig is one of the most accomplished figures in contemporary art of the last three decades. His inventive works are celebrated by the most prestigious museums including the Tate Britain. Since the early 1990s, he has been re-establishing and reinventing the power of painting. He is known for his fresh modern approach whilst still inhabiting a deep knowledge of art history.

Doig’s works has seen him blur the lines of art by cross-pollinating inspirations and disciplines such as photography and cinema. His painting in particular showcases a poignant vision blending fascinating colours that condense and reflect the relationship between mankind and nature.

It will be interesting to see how Doig’s artistic vision will complement Dior Men’s Fall/Winter 2021-22 Men’s Collection. We can see for ourselves when this collaborative effort between Peter Doig and Kim Jones is fully realised by Dior.
