The Onitsuka Tiger FW21 presentation will take place at the Milan Fashion Week on 27 February 2021. Under the direction of Creative Director Andrea Pompilio it marks the first time the brand is participating in Milan Fashion Week.

Under the direction of Pompilio, Onitsuka Tiger started presenting its collection at Pitti Immagine Uomo in 2013. It was here that the collaboration introduced the “Onitsuka Tiger x Andrea Pompilio” capsule collection. The collaboration continued until 2019 until the Italian-born designer officially became the creative director of Onitsuka Tiger.

Thus far Pompilio has injected his vision unto the brand in striking form. Onitsuka Tiger has consistently stood at the forefront of style, infusing fashion with sports along with youth and culture. Utilising those elements, the label has consistently introduced fashionably chic collection that combines heritage with innovation.

For its Spring Summer 2021 presentation, the brand revealed a new creative concept. Titled “The Onitsuka Tiger Attitude”, the new collection consisting of shoes, apparel and accessories took inspiration from ship’s sails.

Now with the Onitsuka Tiger FW21 presentation upon us, the fashion world eagerly waits for what Pompilio will reveal next. Milan is indeed a special place for both the designer and the brand. Last December, under the creative direction of Pompilio, Onitsuka Tiger opened its first Italian flagship store there.

For a brand with two cores Tokyo and Milan, Onitsuka Tiger certainly upholds the design theme of “East meets West”. As such, participation the Milan Fashion Week will undoubtedly be a special event. The Onitsuka Tiger FW21 presentation takes place at Milan Fashion Week on Saturday 27 February at 6pm (Singapore). Watch the presentation through the link here.
