The new Converse x Kim Jones collection represents a throwback to spring style of the late ’90s. To see his vision through, designer Kim Jones looked to UK streetwear and utilitarian design to produce this retro-inspired collection.
With this new bold new collaboration with Converse, the London-based designer crafts a sleek ensemble of street items that blend utilitarian function with retro styling. Limited-edition Chucks naturally form part of the core offering of the new Converse x Kim Jones collection, which also offers apparel.
KJ Chuck 70
These limited-edition Chucks from the prolific British designer are crafted to stand up to spring weather in style. On this new collaboration with Converse, Jones elevates the Chuck 70 with a utilitarian design inspired by the late ‘90s.
The sneakers add a throwback vibe to the iconic canvas silhouette. The sneakers also sport a retro TPU cage on the upper. The KJ Chuck 70 varnished rubber overlay and speed-lace system create a sleek outdoor-inspired look with wet-weather functionality to match. The sneakers arrive with co-branded Kim Jones and Converse insoles.
Apparels To Match
Forming part of the new collection is the KJ Parka. The classic pullover spring jacket puts an elevated spin on a spring classic – the half-zip Anorak jacket. Made with an oversized retro fit, reflective details and large front pockets, this nylon jacket is both functional and stylish.
The ensemble features silver reflective Kim Jones graphics. The retro-inspired jacket also features a waterproof front zipper with Velcro and snap closure along with a front “Kanga” pocket.
Additionally, the KJ T-Shirt, also offers a throwback style reminiscent of that era. The heavyweight cotton Converse x Kim Jones t-shirt calls back to the late ‘90s with a slightly oversized fit. The KJ Cargo Pant sees Jones put an elevated spin on the late ‘90s staple.
Made with durable cotton twill, the cargo pant features a fifth pocket on the front and retro snap buttons down the side seams. Lastly, the KJ Crewneck is made with thick but soft French terry. It reimagines a classic sweater design with retro details and elevated touches.
The Converse x Kim Jones collection is available at Converse boutiques at Jewel Changi Airport, Ngee Ann City, Dover Street Market and Limited Edt.
