COUNTING down the days till season 3 of Netflix’s Stranger Things premiers on July 4?
Well, you can get into the (spooky) spirit of things by gearing up with H&M and Netflix’s Stranger Things capsule collection for summer that’s dropping on June 12.
The collaboration draws inspiration from new locations in Hawkins town, especially the Hawkins Community Pool, and offers a fantastic range of graphic tees and tanks, shorts, playsuits and swimwear, in addition to an array of poolside accessories.
Like the show, the H&M X Netflix Stranger Things collection pays tribute to the distinct styles and trends of the 80s. The silhouettes utilised in the collection are retro modern, but with a twist – they carry Stranger Things’s distinct colour palette of black, red and white. The women’s line, however, carries pops of colour in fuchsia pink and teal.
Here’s a fun bit of trivia for hardcore fans of the show: some select pieces from the collaboration will even appear in the upcoming season! Furthermore, the memorable Stranger Things logo will also be included on various items in the capsule collection.
The campaign for the H&M X Netflix capsule collection stars Stranger Things actor Dacre Montgomery (good ol’ Billy Hargrove), and was shot by renowned British fashion photographer and director Matt Jones. If you’re wondering about the campaign’s quirky art direction, we’ve got news for you – it’s meant to be a mischievous interpretation of the Upside Down realm on the show.
The H&M X Netflix capsule collection will be available at H&M Lot 10, Malaysia; H&M Orchard Building and H&M VivoCity, Singapore; and on hm.com from June 12.
