Early this month, Dolce & Gabbana fused music, creative and style in its new collaboration with DJ Khaled. Imbued with Khaled’s Miami urban style, the collection showcases distinctive features of the metropolis mixed with Dolce & Gabbana’s house codes. The collaboration strikes a perfect balance between creativity, brilliance and pure contemporary style.
The depiction of a lion — a symbol of strength and pride that has always been dear to DJ Khaled — is emblazoned on sweatpants and hooded jackets. Florals and fantasies of stripes and polka dots complete the look with exuberance. Bomber jackets and shirts nod to the artistic heart of Miami, referencing “murals and graffiti interwoven with the typical Mediterranean bougainvillaea flowers and agave leaves, the latter recalling both the gardens of Florida and landscapes of Southern Italy,” said the Italian House. The melange of colours and elements serves as a metaphor for DJ Khaled’s music style — bold and energetic.
