“This spring at H&M we’ve traveled through menswear heritage to make something that feels truly contemporary. It’s so exciting that men today are wearing more prints and colour, and are confident enough to try something new in order to find their own personal style,” – Andreas Lowenstam, head of design for menswear.
Take a leaf out of H&M’s Spring 2013 lookbook and embrace the season’s biggest trends: classic menswear separates matched with bold graphic prints and pops of colour. Silhouettes continue to be sleek and streamlined with sharply tailored blazers nipped in gently at the waist and slim-lined trousers that end just above the ankles.
The suit continues to be a key item with new cuts, fabrics and textures that will appeal to all tastes and sensibilities. Casual separates like t-shirts, shorts and pants also receive the graphic treatment, while neutral jumpers and jeans get jazzied up by dashes of red in the form of shorts and a cotton blazer. For the fashion forward, a deep green motorcycle jacket and emerald suit are the must-have items from the collection.
