You have already heard of Nike’s Magista and Mercurial football cleats. Now, with another World Cup season upon us, Nike has turned the existence of the humble duffle bag into something far more impressive. In step towards outdoing its rivals and domination across football fields, it presents the Rebento Duffel, boasting premium leather paired with the world’s first 3D-printed base and Nike’s Flyknit technology. Rebento in Portuguese means “to shoot”, and rightly so. Light, flexible, and highly durable, its base references the stud plate of a football boot, carrying on the legacy of the Magista and Mercurial. But here’s the catch. Only three men on the planet have been given ownership to the Rebento, and each bag holds a small gold plate engraved with each of their names. Unless you are Rooney, Ronaldo, or Neymar Jr., you just got to wait, and we foresee a demand for a commercial run in the near future. Till then, you could always make do with that beat-up black duffel. Because you know, all things good take time after all.
