Alber Elbaz has weaved wooden jewellery, mixed materials, dashes of colour and motifs into his upcoming Spring Summer 2012 accessories collection for men and we love the tribal feel of the collection already. Being at the helm of Paris’ oldest fashion house is a seasonal challenge with the meeting of current trends and tried-and-tested classics, and we’re certain Elbaz has been blessed with an added dose of creative genius to carve out coveted collections after collections each season.
Yet Elbaz is one of the most self-deprecating creative directors around, seriously believing no one would be in line for his Lanvin for H&M collection last year. He handles stress by watching television, and we’re following suit if it’s going to make us as well-balanced, well-loved and as brilliant as he is.
