The Dior Saddle bag needs no introduction as it has repeatedly become a must-have accessory, season after season. Designed in 1999, the highly recognisable icon made its debut as part of the brand’s Spring/Summer 2000 collection.

Quickly becoming a defining piece for the luxury fashion house, the Dior Saddle bag has been reinterpreted over the years. For Dior’s Summer 2021 line, Kim Jones revisits the icon in an unprecedented format, with the Maxi Saddle.

Functionable & Fashionable

The Artistic Director of Dior men’s collections presents a larger and more practical variation of the Saddle bag. With the introduction of the Maxi, the saddle bag now comes in three different sizes for a complete mix of styles. Functional right down to the shoulder strap and equipped with a removable smartphone case, the new Maxi Saddle personifies urban elegance.

Key highlights include a magnetic flap closure with a zip, and an interior and back embossed with the ‘DIOR’ signature. The Maxi Saddle also arrives with an adjustable nylon jacquard ‘Christian Dior’ shoulder strap with an aluminium ‘CD’ buckle with the ‘Christian Dior’ signature.

It offers expandable everyday style options including a cross-body, an over-the-shoulder or, for the first time, a messenger bag. Its generous shape can hold all the essentials, while the removable zipped pouch is cleverly placed on the adjustable shoulder strap. It can be used for all phone sizes up to the iPhone 11 Pro Max for added convenience.

The Maxi Saddle is crafted in black or khaki grained leather, as well as in the Dior Oblique canvas– in either classic or black monochrome versions. This object of desire completes Dior’s Saddle universe, which has also been enriched with a Mini Messenger with revisited curves.
