In the world of Italian-made footwear, Tod’s has always been one of the brands that are at the forefront. It’s a wonder then that there has only been one Tod’s standalone boutique in Singapore. Until now that is.
Located at Basement 1 of The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands (and near where the fountain is), the new boutique is starkly different than the existing Paragon boutique. The fresh and updated concept is the first employed in a Tod’s boutique in Asia and features brighter façade and interior. The Double-T font doors open up to travertine marbled floors and cream-coloured furnishings. The ceilings are fitted with high-gloss panels, reflecting light and products displayed on suspended showcases.
In celebration of the opening of the new Tod’s boutique, Hong Kong celebrity Louis Koo made a special appearance. Dressed head-to-toe in Tod’s spring/summer 2017 collection, his appearance also symbolised Tod’s heritage of dressing the feet of some of the world’s leading stars, some of whose wooden shoe lasts were part of a photo wall display – Hugh Grant, Jude Law and Ryan Gosling were some of the familiar names spotted.
Drop by the new Tod’s boutique and find a duo of limited edition items specifically created for the store. A messenger bag and a Double T Gommino shoe come inscribed with “Marina Bay Sands Singapore” in the interiors and are available in shades of maroon. We hate to be conventional but they’re irresistibly appropriate for the Chinese New Year festivities, no?
The new Tod’s boutique is located at B1-108 at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands.
