In this +J Spring Summer collection, Jil Sander aims for quiet optimism.

Eleven years since their inaugural collection, Uniqlo +J has returned for two seasons. Launched on March 19, the Uniqlo +J Spring Summer collection is a continuation of last season’s collaboration with designer Jil Sander, who brings her signature modern style to this exceptional line.

Emerge from the darkness of winter, and enter the lightness of spring. Controlled sculptural tailoring emphasises movement, lightness and space. “The overall idea is sophistication,” said Sander. “A kind of purity that lets us think of regeneration and a fresh start.” The pieces are reduced to their purest form, focusing on sharp silhouettes with an airy clarity.

Ergonomically designed for versatility and practicality for the outdoors, these wardrobe essentials combine comfort with effortless styles. The luxurious texture and sheen complement the chromatic palette of northern light, with the indigo of summer night skies contrasting with ivory, caramel, grey and khaki hues.

Exceptional tailoring characterises the men’s line-up. An oversized hooded long coat is sculpted with 3D-volume, while classic polos are defined by a crisp fit. Jeans are crafted in Japanese selvedge denim that offers longevity as it exhibits a cool and straight silhouette.

“The modern uniform should be a versatile basic wardrobe adaptable to every climate,” said Sanders as +J continues to define the modern uniform with purpose and meaning.
