Anyone who hasn’t heard of The Sam Willows has got to be living under some rock. On a deserted island with no access to YouTube. The band has been on the up and up since their debut in 2012. Upon their signing with Sony Music, they gained traction – opening for The Script, Take Heart released in October 2015 and topping it all with songs for the 2015 SEA Games and a National Day Parade performance where they wowed the entire country.
Since then they’ve been plenty busy with all sorts of projects, both personal and as a group. Benjamin Kheng is set to star in a movie out in August, working with music impresario Dick Lee on the project, and last month they released a trailer for their first single, Keep Me Jealous, from their second album, set to be released later this year. But the songs have been flowing and when we spotted the group at the refreshed and expanded Fendi store in Ngee Ann City, we convinced them to offer us a tidbit of a new tune. Here’s Save Myself.
Incidentally, Ben Kheng will be on our July issue, out in just a few weeks. Don’t miss it.
