After a difficult and sobering conclusion to the last challenge, where the A-Listers had to watch one of their own check out of the competition, it was time, we felt for some well deserved rest and relaxation. After a lighthearted lunch, we sent them to the surf boards at Wavehouse, where they picked up some rad skills in wave riding. After all, an A-Lister should be well-rounded, with the skill to manage most physical and mental challenges as well. Sports requires as much discipline as one can imagine.
The challenge is for each A-Lister to stay on the board for the longest period of time – the top three times would proceed from the FlowRider challenge (the easier one) to venture to the FlowBarrel range of waves, which were incrementally strengthened as the A-Listers remained on the FlowBarrel. The strong waves that are generated are as challenging, if not even more, than reality.
Although some of the guys have spent time on the boards before, this was still a pretty difficult physical challenge. Find out who stays on top of the waves, and who comes crashing down.
